Hey there! I’m Anna.
If you’ve clicked on the “About Me” page, it means you’re here to learn a little bit more of, well, who I am. Happy to have you here! Hopefully all your questions will be answered after going through my website, but in case not, don’t worry – contact me, and let’s talk!
I promise I’m not going to write essays about my life, just a few basics, to help you understand, who am I, and why am I here?
Let’s start, shall we?
Hi! I’m Anna, nice to meet you. I was born and raised in Hungary but decided to take a leap and move to Switzerland when I was 20. Curious about how that all came to be? Don’t worry, I’ve got all the answers for you below!
My Early Teens
Starting with my early teenage years… I’ve always wanted to be an actress. I went to drama school, where I learned theatre, singing, and dancing—and I absolutely loved it! I performed in plays, sang in front of crowds, and even danced a little. It was magical, but in the end, I realized it wasn’t my path. For a while, I considered trying for movies (I’m a huge cinema fan—you’d always catch me watching BTS clips from films; Titanic’s are my favorite!), but I knew deep down it wasn’t the best fit for someone who dreamed of having a family life, too. I even tried some modeling – was not my cup of tea.
After graduating high school, I faced a big decision: take a theatre job or work as a waitress at a well-known restaurant. I chose the latter—not as glamorous, I know, but hear me out! My dad is a chef, so I practically grew up in hospitality. He used to bring me and my sisters to his work, and sometimes we even helped with little tasks—it was always so fun! The restaurant world felt familiar, and the pay was better than theatre. For me, it just made sense at the time.
Looking back, every choice has shaped who I am today, and I wouldn’t change a thing!
Moving Abroad
After landing my job at the restaurant, life seemed pretty steady—until Covid hit. Like so many others, I lost my job in March and suddenly found myself at home, in quarantine, with no opportunities in sight. For months, my life revolved around DoorDash deliveries and building houses in The Sims 4. But by June, right after my 20th birthday, I decided to take a leap and move abroad—to Switzerland!
Was it easy? Heck no. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. But it was worth it. I landed a job at a 5-star hotel, where I worked for four incredible years. I met amazing people, built valuable connections, and even met my husband there! He was a Sous Chef back then, and now he’s the Chef of the kitchen. Life was great—until I started to feel burned out. I was exhausted, unmotivated, and knew I needed a change. But change to what?

I knew I didn’t want to stay in hospitality (unless it was our own restaurant someday), but I was lost—especially in Switzerland, where not speaking fluent German limited my options. Then one day, I stumbled upon a girl on TikTok talking about her job as a virtual assistant. She had a great work-life balance and worked from home. I binge-watched her videos, got inspired, and decided to give it a shot as a side hustle.
To my surprise, I actually got clients! Eventually, I quit my job and went all in. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and I couldn’t be happier with where I am now.

My free time
A few months ago, this section would’ve been way harder to write. Back when I was still in hospitality, “free time” was pretty much non-existent. Anyone who’s worked in the field knows exactly what I’m talking about.
But now, things are different. Starting my own business and becoming self-employed was a challenge, especially at the beginning. There was all the legal stuff, figuring out how to do taxes (seriously, why don’t they teach this in school?!), and finding clients to actually make a living. But now that things have settled, I’ve finally discovered what it means to have free time—and let me tell you, it’s amazing.
I love slow mornings, sipping coffee while walking my adorable dog, Masa, or taking trips to the lake with a good book in hand. Sometimes, I even bring my laptop, pick a cozy spot surrounded by nature, and let inspiration guide me while I write or work on new ideas.
A big part of my everyday routine is hopping on a fun video chat with my parents or catching up with my sisters, grandpa, and friends who are far away. Even though we’re miles apart, we always know exactly what’s going on in each other’s lives—it’s like we’re never too far from home.
Evenings and weekends are all about quality time with my husband. Whether it’s a fun escape room, snowboarding, bowling, brunching, or staying in to bake cinnamon rolls and pizza, we always find a way to make it special. And when the snacks are ready, there’s nothing better than cuddling up for a good movie night.
Free time isn’t just about relaxing for me—it’s about filling my days with what I love most and the people (and pups!) I love most.
